"Nice thought, but are the Democrats presenting themselves as being more in touch? No the democrats are not. Why? Because at heart the Dems have the same values as the Republicans."I agree with your comment 100%. Both parties are beholden to corporate/big money interests. The sponsors vary somewhat but, by and large, both parties cater to the wants and needs of BIG business. I'd love to see a true "populist" party emerge. A party that is dedicated to the health, prosperity and aspirations of the working men and women of this country. A party that is dedicated to strengthening this country's infrastructure, educational system, technological superiority and independence. A party that looks out for the "little guy" inside of always looking out for select corporate profiteers. Neither party does that now. I fault the Republicans for selling their souls to the corporations. I fault the Democrats for trying to do the same thing. There are real issues to resolve. There are real needs in this country. We need serious men and women in Congress who are willing to roll up their sleeves, talk straight, work hard and make some tough decisions. Where are they?
