That reminds me: brother and sister in law were going to a fundy Lutheran church for years. Sil started working in the office. Noticed how the pastor favored the folks who put more money in the plate. One woman was drawing money out of her 401k to buy stuff for the church. When he found out about it the pastor did not put a stop to it. Seems he encouraged it. God will provide, I guess.

Sil quit that job. The family has now quit that church (14 years membership).
