"$2 a tail bounty? Just up the bounty until the hogs become an endangered species." - arrete

Wild hogs are delicious to eat. The thing is that a lot of people just don't hunt anymore. They sit in their house and play pretend hunting on video games instead. Then they go to the grocery stores and buy store bought pork chops which don't have near the flavor as wild pigs do that have been eating acorns and bugs and tubers and other stuff.

Store bought pork is raised on raised platforms with slatted floors and fed corn/soybean diets and have no access to anything but what is augured into their pen from giant machines. Computers design least cost feed formulation and I guarantee it you it doesn't include acorns.

It ain't your granparents hog farm anymore. They are all raised SPF free in giant houses and the workers wear white coveralls and masks and boots and step into pans that have cholorine disinfectants in them. And the pigs are genetically selected and designed to have low backfat and large muscles and be born in large litters.
