Am a little dense today. Have no idea what you are saying here.

I believe that CC is pointing out that:
Pricing == rate + points + fees

So more down usually results in better pricing.
(FWIW I think there are often step-transitions. I think 62% LTV vs. 64% LTV was the same interest rate and points for me)
