I think I'm going to go with your 42" suggestion. For our living room it will fit the best. What about some of the other brands like Vizio, RCA, Panasonic, Sony, etc? Are any of the newer brands I've never heard of any good? They've got some weird names now. By the way I went to Wal-mart.com and priced TV's and the LG is one of the more expensive brands. It's about $100 more than some of the brands. Is it that much better?
