From my experieince and what I've read from others, you are knocked out so you have no clue to what is going on. And there was no pain or after effects afterwards, although they don't want you driving home..you need to have someone drive you home since some have lingering effects from the anthesia.

Did you mean the public is getting health check ups and keeping an eye on their weight, like the Pres? Getting lots of exercise. That would be a good thing.
