"debt consolidation agency" is MBNA-ese for "we're sort of worried that you might declare bankruptcy so please let these other people make sure that your income is funneled to us before you do so and by the way we set up and support that agency albeit indirectly since it's a non-profit"Hey BB nice to see you around these parts!Anyway, just want to point out that its being a non-profit is in no way whatsoever a reason that support should be indirect. Plenty of non-profits try to make as much money as they can.'Non-profit' is thrown around so much because people think that automatically makes it an honorable business. All it REALLY means is that the founders don't want to may any taxes. The non-profit business can still sucker its customers and earn craploads of money. It just can't leave that money on the books of the business when closing the books for the fiscal year, that's all. It can try to make oodles of money, then just disperse it all in the form of big fat bonus checks to the founders. Bingo... no profit on the books!xtn
