"Engineers use the same phenomenon to prevent offshore oil production platforms from rusting away. Aluminum anodes are bolted to the steel legs of the platform and they corrode instead of the steel platform." intercstSo from time to time they have to be replaced? They use divers to go down and bolt new ones on? I've heard that those oil platforms are great places to fish, that underneath it develops a sort of fish ecosystem and that all kinds of different fish hang out around the rigs? I'd love to go out to one and go fishing. It would be amazing. Art
