"For me retirement mean that I don't need to work to financially provide for my family. As I get older time is becoming more valuable. We have a limited time on this earth. My father is in the final stages of Lewey Body dementia. He got the disease right before he retired at 65. No much of a retirement for him. I want to experience other things before my time is up." - 2ndHalf

Exactly. I've got a bunch of stories like that. My dad's birthday when he turned 65 was December 27th. He died in a nursing home on February 4th just a little over a month later. Died of pneumonia.

I tried to get him to retire when he turned 62 but he got angry with me.
"You all ready got me 6 feet under!"

Uh yeah? And that's exactly what happened.
