"go for a better body or classic lenses? "

Ask yourself these questions:

1. Have my skills outgrown either?
2. Which of the two are holding me back more?

My skills aren't anywhere close to being significantly limited by either body or lenses.

I can rent the lenses for about $40/day and individually they cost less than the D800. The D800 rents for about $150/day. The D800 will do better than my D200 in low light situations which I enjoy and may resolve some focusing problems I've been having. DW also would like a video camera and the D800 fits the bill.
