"I am looking to roll this one over to an actively managed account.Does anyone have advise on which firms would do a good job and also have lower fees.Looking at TRowe, Fidelity, Etrade, and Merrill Edge.It looks like Merrill Edge has the lowest fees but I may be missing something. Anyone have experience with managed accounts at these firms? Thanks, Mike "^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^You picked a board that is not frequented by many people. I would suggest trying:Retired FoolsRetire Early CampfireRetire Early Liberal EditionI just did a Rollover looking for an actively managed account - looked at Vanguard - TRowe Price - and some local outfits - and talked to BB&T- went with the BB&T option - Scott and Stringfellow.I was interested in getting a group where my DW felt comfortabletalking to the people and working with them. This may not be the lowest cost approach - but so far I am satisfied with the results - even though I would never have invested in theareas they have suggested and implemented. Sounds odd and againstthe grain - but investing is not my area of expertise. I alreadyhave 2/3rds of my investments in areas I did the due-diligence in andfelt comfortable in knowing the companies, earnings drivers, andrisks. I needed exposure into areas where my knowledge was inadequate to get a real perspective.Anyway - I suggest bringing the question to a wider audience. The 2nd and 3rd boards listed tend to have discussions thathave nothing to do with investments - but when a poster asksa question both boards drop their political and wider discussions to help people.Good luckHowie52
