"I can't tell if she's mad at me or not via text message... but I could be sleeping on the couch tonight. If it were a medical emergency that would be one thing... but while I'm sure it doesn't feel great a thumb injury such as this is far from life threatening. If I take time off work that means I get less overtime tomorrow to PAY for whatever treatment she's going to need (it's a Catch 22 in that regard!) so it is what it is. I'm not terribly happy about it either, but someone has to make these nasty choices." colovion----------The dynamics between a husband and wife is just another way of experiencing separation, over and over and over again. Back and forth like a game of ping-pong. It's funny when you are young and in love you imagine what it's going to be like when you are married and it doesn't turn out anything like how you imagined it to be. You think that the love you have will be enough to overcome any differences that might come up and that it is going to be eternal bliss. Surprise! What you imagine is usually far removed reality. It's like what my baby sister said to me about women having kids, "they don't think of the bad things, they just think of the good things." Art
