"I could see how a church might teach that calling oneself an atheist is the unforgivable sin. "I just don't understand that at all.It could be derived from this:Matt 1231"Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. 32"And whoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in the age to come," I don't understand how a church could call homosexuality the "unforgivable sin"*. Why would it be any more unforgivable then, say, adultery? Plenty of that in the church!.Suspect some confusion with the above passage.* Not that I believe homosexuality is a sin, of course. Just to be clear.
