"I first shot an AR-15 a few months ago. A friend of mine bought one that he built himself (saved a couple of hundred dollars). We shot it at a gun range. Nice rifle. The caliber was a .223. Small, but the muzzle velocity of the bullet was around 3300 ft/sec, or around 2200 mph, or 3 times the speed of sound. One hec of a kick for a small caliber round. "

That .223 will take down a deer at 200 feet easily...and a person too.

It is the standard military round these days.

The AK-47 uses a similar round.....

this is the gun that drives the liberals nuts.....

The AR-15 actually eliminates about 80% of the recoil. You should fire a real gun...like a 50 cal sniper rifle.....
