"I foresee "asset recovery firms" with the best lawyers, accountants, and internet hackers chasing assets to the end of the Earth to collect the 10% bounty.

This might be one of the few privatization schemes that would actually be in the public interest."

Like I posted before, the wealthy would own assets in corporate names, in charitable trusts like the Clintons, and every other possible vehicle.

Most would be impossible to value. Just who is going to testify, and how much are they going to be paid, to 'value' the 1000 bottle wine collection of a collector? When 900 of them haven't been sold at auction in 40 years?

Or your real estate holdings? Every year. Got to be re=assessed.. You think local and state officials are up to ANNUAL assessments of property? Can you imagine 10x as many appeals as now everyone is interesting in driving down the valuation.

No way - I've got 180 radios....that few have a clue as to what they are worth...... and until they get sold.....there's no way to value them other than 'pick a number'.....

Yeah, I can just see millions of people doing inventories every year, sending those inventories to the government, along with their 'wealth tax check'. Hmmm....did your wife buy any new gowns this year? ANy new shoes? Oh, 30 or 50 of them? Oh about expensive pots and pans i the kitchen?? Did you buy any new appliances?

How about that car? That airplane? Oh, pay an accessory to value your airplane at tax time. Including all the electronics inside. And your home computers and gadgets......full list.....detail by detail. Thousands and thousands of them.

Yeah..that's going to go over real big.

You really think the Hollwwood types are going to go for this? Han.....and just what is a gown worn in this movie worth today? $50,000? $100,000? Who is to say?

Ya gotta be kidding
