"I had some in Paris, France in 1976. Quite tasty. It tasted like beef to me." - tiscotto

I suspected it would. It's a large herbivorous animal so I don't see why it should taste that much different than beef.

I actually owned a horse name doll for about a year and half and she was a sweetheart. She was a 7 year old large red with white blaze half Tennessee Walker/half Thoroughbred mare and she was a pretty sweet horse. She'd come up to me in the pasture and follow me back to the barn without even a halter or lead on. I sort of miss her.

But just because I like horses doesn't mean I wouldn't eat one. Heck I'd eat a dog or cat if I was in a culture where eating dog or cat was normal and accepted. Not sure I'd want to butcher them myself but if someone else killed and butchered and cooked them and I was visiting their house I don't have that much qualms about eating them. Korean style Barbecue dog might be pretty good.
