Pouty Republicans all over the place. Wanting to secede from the country, quit their jobs and "go Galt" and whatever. Bossess firing their employees to exact revenge. It's just nuts. It's the rightwingnut version of threatening to move to Canada, I suppose.

I don't understand the "Go Galt" freakout and all the whining about "collectivism," "redistribution," "Obamaphones" and "makers and takers," etc.

Obama's election and re-election hasn't changed a thing with regard to the basic structure and operation of the U.S. economy. Well, it's changed one thing - Obamacare, but that's essentially a conservative/Republican program with some Democratic bells and whistles tied on. (Can you imagine the screams if he'd somehow enacted a real national healthcare system, like the one in communist Canada?)

And Obama's "big scary idea" is a modest tax increase on the richest 2% of Americans, which isn't really even an increase, but letting a temporary tax cut expire returning to the tax rates of a decade ago. Che Guevara, he is not.

The rightwing tantrum reminds me of toddlers throwing their toys out of the playpen when they don't get their way.
