Since when does one have to buy into a stereotype in order to identify it?

Although, I will grant you, the racist message is not as clear in this thread's original post as in the version posted here in 1999: http://boards.fool.com/Message.asp?mid=10621591.

As you will note, the common theme in that version is an identifying color. In my opinion, although the two versions are slightly different, they have the same undertone. One just more blatant than the other.
