"If it weren't for all the darned unions and pesky regulations in the USA it could be Americans instead of Bangladeshis filling Walmarts shelves,"Tell that to the Teamsters union who did in HOstess.....with archaic work rules...not allowing 'bread' and 'cake' on the same truck....requiring thousands of duplicate trucks and drivers and delivery people...oh, and those 'truck drivers' could not stock the shelves. That took yet a 3rd person in a separate vehicle. Duh!....Unions eliminated 18,500 jobs in the USA. Maybe they'll get picked up by a Mexican baker...who will sell the twinkies brand made in Mexico and shipped here....Meanwhile, I'll continue shopping at Walmart and buying socks if I need 'em. It's up to the country to start to implement safety rules on factories......It happens over time....and if you think you are going to be making socks here.....if it happened it would be in a totally automated factory using about 10 people total......that's the only way you could afford it.....t.
