"In the future people may decide they want to be away from the coasts that face uncertain weather and rising seas."

Maybe a hundred years from now when the seas have risen all of a foot or so? Ya gotta be kidding.

"n the future people may want a green energy house that is so much more efficient than anything built today (or yesterday)."

Just like folks upgrade 100 and 200 year old houses today, I'm sure in 100 years they'lll be updating 2000 built houses as well. Changing out the furnaces for the fourth time and the A/c for the fifth time, etc. You might have your mini-nuke power plant running everything. Or not.

"In the future people may want land they can garden for food because the cost has so skyrocketed or the they don't trust the food they can afford."

Or they might 'grow' their food in factories. Who knows? Or have a food synthesizer like on Star Trek.

" We just don't know what people will want in 2020 which is not that far away."

Actually, it's 90 years away. The same as 2000 was in 1910, when most folks did not have a car, and the main source of delivery was a horse drawn wagon. Where more than half the homes in the US did not have electricity, and the 'ice box' was the main source of refigeration, and folks made food over wood or coal fired stoves.

Almost no one alive today will live another 90 years other than those under 10 years old. Most of them likely won't make it to 100 either.

" Our world is changing so rapidly that people 15 years ago could hardly imagine everyone owning a cell phone that costs them 3 times what a landline would and acts like their little computer or TV that spews garbage 24/7 or a meltdown of 1930s proportion with a black president trying to combat racism...."

Really? What sort of rant is that? 15 years ago, cellphones were getting cheap, with LD included. THey were cheaper than landlines for most folks. As far as I can tell, the only reason folks scream 'racism' today is for political maneuvering , not because there is rampant racial discrimination. In fact, there is massive REVERSE discrimination with all sorts of preferences for minorities over whites, despite the fact there is no discrimination against blacks in general.

You live in a fantasy liberal radical socialist world if you think that 'planning' like Russia and Cuba and Venezuela will do anything but make everyone poorer as you lower economic output and 'wealth' by the radical socialist agenda of Obama.

Right..Pelosi took office and vowed not to increase the national debt...then ran up 5.2 TRILLION in new deficit in just 4 years. Talk about a mess of horrendous proportions. Worse, she and Obama ramped up spending to 50% more than what it was, with no visible results other than bankrupting the country.
