"It sounds OK, but for me personally, I'd go 100% S&P 500. Why? Four funds, you're paying four management fees, etc. That cuts into your overall return. Besides, look at the list of 500 companies. Many are "smaller" and most have international exposure. Think Coke and Catapillar operate only in the US?"

You would even cut out the 15% I put into the Bond Index Fund????? I was orignially putting 85% into the S&P 500 and 15% into the Bond Index, but decided to stick some into the other two for a little added diversification..

The rest of my portfolio is a Roth IRA we started last year..We added about $1800 last year and dollar costed in two blue chip companies, Ford and Disney, thru Sharebuilders....

We would like to add more, but we just got married and bought our first house and most of the extra cash we have goes to buying furniture etc and paying off the wedding...
