"It's time. When make up our minds to split the atom, or put man on the moon, we do it."
One hundred years ago, there was a car that would do over 100 miles on a single battery charge.
Fast forward to today and we can put a man on the moon - well, what is it up to now? about 12 on the moon? But if you wanted to go to the moon tomorrow, you couldn't get there for another 5 years or more and that might be on a Chinese rocket...maybe....not a US one!.....
We did it, it cost a fortune, and in reality...it left us with not a whole lot of betterment. I mean, can you get yourself to the moon any easier now that we have been there?
They've been trying to figure out how to do fusion. THe great project out in CA...is now years behind schedule, despite five billion and the smartest minds in the world, we can't even get a pea size lump of hydrogen to 'fuse' despite all the money and effort..and may never get it to work. ten years..five billion...no success......
Batteries are simply chemistry...... you can't stuff 5 lbs of crap in a 2 lb container......and you can only get so many electrons crammed in certain materials.....
Despite likely a billion in effort..>LiON batteries are maxxed out.....
