"I've had very good experiences with Medicare up to now. But wondering what genius decided they will pay for an annual wellness doctor visit but will only pay for labs every 13 months."

LIkely that is one of their money saving ideas. Only one blood test a year, on average.

That means they shift costs by 1/12 during the year, as everyone falling in Dec now has it moved automatically to the next year. For those in NOv, in a year, they too will 'miss' a year. So Medicare saves money.

That also moves the 'wellness' exam out to 13 months for most, so they save 1/12th on that.

That amounts to a lot of money.

And they can tell you you get an 'annual' wellness exam, even though it is on a 13 month schedule.

welcome to ObamaKare.

Just wait until they determine the 'optimum' time is 15 months..that will be coming in a year or two.....when there aren't enough docs to handle all the new patients, so they 'conveniently' find that physicals every 15 months or 18 months are 'more cost efficient' and 'just as good'.
