"Jack"

I am being 'downsized'.

One option in my future is the purchase of a small business. If I roll my 401(k) into a self directed IRA can I purchase preffered stock in my new company?

Can you tell me where --in the IRS web sight-- I could go to get information on this?

Do you know any financial institutions who are familiar with, and offer to manage 'Self Directed IRA's'? --Segments of the industry if specific company names are not able to be passed along in this message board?

Thanks,
