Most web/HTML jobs these days ask for "must have strong portfolio of work" by which I guess they mean past web sites on which you have worked. My question is: Can I make some small toy websites in my my hosted account? Will such "toy" sites convince prospective employer to hire as freelance developer? As example see the advert: http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/web/3457530495.html

Can one "buy" such porfolio? What I had in mind was to showcase my skill by tweaking some such packaged sites.

Thanks in advance for any reply,
-Bakulesh
