"Not entirely. Tell that to the nation's employed actuarials who labor daily to predict who will live and who will die. They're pretty accurate, too." - catherine

I was shocked when I heard that TNgirl had brain cancer. She was young and vibrant and full of life. I would have never predicted that she was not long for this life.

And Gringofool wasn't all that old either. I think he was in his mid to late 60's?

The only one of the three that I wasn't totally shocked when he died was Michael Read because he had told us he had heart problems and smoked. I remember reading one of his posts where he said he stepped outside for a smoke and I had sort of a premonition that he may not be long for this world.

My sister Linda's husband was 52 years old when he died of a heart attack and he didn't smoke or drink alcohol.
