At least with our mortgage, there is language in there that requires one of us to reside in the home within 30 days after close, or Very Bad Things can happen. (can't recall the exact nature of the VBT)

And why risk getting into a legal entanglement with an entity who is not only right under law but also has significant muscle to enforce the terms of the contract?
