"Pardon me for asking, but IF you took such good care of it, how come you had to do the engine at 145,000 miles? "

i bought it off a friend, and it was her parents who replaced the engine. i've never really heard why. from what i know about straight six engines, it should have gone forever. maybe they didn't do such a hot job with the oil changes.

actually, they swear the car is a lemon and are amazed that i've taken it on so many road trips. it's never broken down on me, and i've only had one month of real problems with it (because it took four trips to the mechanic before they figured out that it was the starter after all).
so i think the car is fine, if a bit rough around the edges.
