"Rolling a 403(b) into an IRA does not count as a contribution..."How about rolling over from a 401(k)? I already made my $3000 contribution limit and want to make sure I'm not getting into trouble when making a non-hardship w/o suspension withdrawal from my current employer's 401(k) plan.I'm going to have the check sent to me made out to <Brokerage>, Custodian FBO <My name>. This doesn't count as the money passing through my hands if I understand correctly. Please let me know if I'm wrong. I beleive I then have 30 days to deposit the check into my traditional IRA account.Any advice appreciated.
