Well I was happy to hear that President Obama-lama decided to weigh in on the arrest of Harvard Professor Henry Gates by saying the cops acted stupidly. How many times will cops have to hear that crap now whenever they arrest someone, or feel even more so than usual, that what is driving their arrests is race.A true presidential response, if he felt it necessary to comment on a situation involving an acquaintance, would have been something like "Henry Gates is a friend of mine, and I've never known him to do anything to put himself into such a situation, but I don't have all the facts so I can't comment further."That's the kind of response you give when you want to stand by your friend yet not tarnish a cop, a police force, and a profession as racist for no good cause, particularly when you're the President of the United States!Rich
