"The main presupposition with regards to an interventionist God is how ridiculously illogical it is."

Logic is infallible. Human logic is fallible. As soon as you can give ONE logical answer for how matter and energy appeared from nothing, I will look at your comment that it is "rediculously illogical" more closely.

"He/she/it is garlanded with all sorts of praise for (very capriciously and randomly) "saving" people in dire situations, but this self-same omnipotent, omniscient creature is not to be blamed for the dire situation itself. Or, the holes are putty-filled with the all-purpose "mysterious ways" goo.

First if there is a God He/she/it is not a creature but the Creator. A creature must by defenition have a creator. 2nd I readily admit that I do not understand why an omnipotent, omniscient God would intervene in certain situations and not others.

If you had a child that wanted intervention but you did not see fit for whatever reason to intervene, it would SEEM to the child VERY illogical.

Where is my Mom/Dad???
