"what you really need is a money manager"I do have a friend (who happens to be a money manager for Ed-J) willing to take me on with my meager $85,000. So far I've declined, not wanting to give someone else the reigns. Plus I (wrongly I see) assumed money managers and full-service brokers were about the same thing. I could obviously use an “advisor;” I just don't like the idea of letting someone else make decisions for me.
