"Why, then, worry one's pretty little head about anything? Child slavery, famine, pestilence, wars, pedophilia, rape, kidnapping, etc. It's all one big exercise in a few simple lessons. What a load of crap. I'm amazed such drivel comes from the mind of an otherwise seemingly intelligent person." - catherine

It's the answer to why God allows so much suffering and evil in the world. When someone asks you if there is a God why does he allow so much suffering and evil to exist, the answer is that He doesn't.

After we cross back over to the other side we find out that all those people who we think died, really didn't. They are all alive in Heaven and that the bad things happened to teach the soul the things it needed to learn and couldn't learn in Heaven.

And it had to be emotional enough so that we would remember it. There is a very close connection between emotion and memory. We remember the things that evoke the most emotion in us.
