"Yes, Christians are such a put-upon minority (eyeroll). Isn't it sad one never hears Christmas music any more? And we have so few churches. We really need more." - gingkoIt's funny how some people have such a reflexive innate dislike of Christianity when it's obvious that they really don't understand it and know very little about it. They key in on the verses about violence and murder in the Old Testament which is basically just a history of the Jews and has very little to do with who and what Jesus taught and ignore the stories Jesus told about what the Kingdom of Heaven was similar to. The person that Jesus became after his near death experience was as dissimilar to his Jewish ancestry as I am from the people I was related to in Germany during the Nazi era. It would be like judging me by my murderous pillaging Germanic barbarian ancestors from 1600 years ago that sacked Rome. I am nothing like them. Jesus was a little Jewish rabbi that had a profound and deep near death experience and he simply wanted his followers to experience the love and "oneness" with each other that he felt and experienced while on the other side durin his near death experience. That is really what Christianity is supposed to be. That is the message of the stories that Jesus spoke about in the New Testament. Art
