They don't have km markers on the trail so I took intervals every 5 minutes. I was so paranoid about going out too fast I might have actually gone out too slow; 170 for the first 5 minutes felt like a slow jog (pre-race addrenaline was also affecting HR). Maybe I should have pushed a bit harder on the first 5 min and that could have brought down my time by 30 seconds probably. My legs didn't have much left at the end so I think I need to work on leg strength plus a bit more endurance. Overall pretty happy; first time under 50 minutes on a 10K and still room for improvement. Placement was 67th out of 165. tecmo...
