rad,

The only biking I've done in Cape Cod is from the campground in Provincetown to downtown. Definitely not two hours a day. :)

As for taking pedals, I can only say that when I rented a bike in Whistler last year and didn't have my shoes and pedals, my experience was way less fun than it could otherwise have been. I will definitely bring my shoes and pedals (and maybe even my saddle) anytime I plan to rent bikes in the future. FWIW.

Have fun!
Renee
