Yep. Rats in the attic--we got 'em. Googled for someone who uses traps rather than poison. Picked a local guy with a small business, not a franchise. $830 for traps, cleanup, and eave repair (is eave ever used in the singular?).

Two neighbors said they paid about $1500 and $1000 for similar services in the past few years. Now I feel like I got a good deal :-/

Moral of the story: fund your e-fund, or you may have more to worry about than rats.
