Rayvt,

I have in my will a provision that funds are set aside for the care of my sweet ones that I leave behind and also designated two people(1 as a back-up) that will care for them and find suitable homes for them.

My last sweet dog passed in 2016 and before that I lost another sweetie in 2014. I feel the loss of not having a canine companion to enjoy with my large number of friends in my dog club. I am just now allowing thoughts of perhaps another relationship with a sweet dog. I have an old sweet cat who has enjoyed two years of being indoors and getting lots of loving from me. He had been a feral in a larger colony that lived in and he was the last one.....a survivor for sure. He deserves the good life now in his senior years. Although he was pretty chill with my dogs, I worry that bringing a dog in will disrupt "our" serenity.

Just like a human, a canine or feline has to be nurtured and cared for and that also means training and medical care. Everyone's situation is different....low finances, small apt.,house, yard, no desire for caring for someone else, and physical limitations.

We'll see what the future will bring but in the meantime, I'm loving up on my kitty and all the nice dogs I come into contact with. :)
