Hi guys, I am a general contractor working with two other GCs on one of their houses short term. One of the guys left a couple of small pieces of wood (offcuts)with big nails sticking up laying around like thumbtacks (I didn't know they were there) I proceeded to step on one,it went in deep, now I am off my feet for five days so far. Went to doc,got shot and a little numbing up and digging around because the swelling made it look like there was something in there. I have a family and cannot afford to be out of work. Who will, if anyone, compensate me for this, and how do I figure out how much to go after? Who advocates for me?

I believe this is why God created personal injury attorneys. <grin>

Also, if you are an employee of your company (rather than someone working "off the books"), maybe you can collect under workmen's comp.
