Well, you can't argue with the idea that they blast out a zillion of these mailers and sift thru the masses to find and grade those creditworthy people they want as customers. This they are entitled to do, as far as I can see. My pollyanna advice if you are a new borrower: get what you can get, avoid annual fee cards, use 'em wisely, let them make a few nickels on you, make timely payments, and the more rarified forms will show up in your mail. It's not the color of the card, obviously, it's the interest rate charged. I know the lesser forms may charge higher interest, but you as a wise borrower will carefully limit what they make off you.
