I really only meant to test out the idea of moving our chairs closer to the TV.
SO I moved the 2 chairs had Hal come out and sit and we both liked it. A lot. The only
problem we noticed was we had to look up more since the TV is mounted to the top of a 4 ft
tall bookcase. But never fear, I took my bookcase from the kitchen that is
only 3 feet high and while I maneuvered it into position Hal picked up the TV and
voila it's really a nice height, a whole foot lower and in line with the mains again.
Of course the center had to move down a foot as well but we tipped it up slightly
 (its base has 3 positions).

So where 2 weeks ago our eyes were 16.5 feet away and last week 14.5 feet away, now
we are 10' 5" away! I also slid the chairs so we are equidistant from center (before Hal was
centered and I was off a couple feet to the right.) For the moment I'm stuff right up against
the sofa but tomorrow I'll start re-arranging the rest of the room.

I can't wait to hook up the amp when it gets here! Then it's a matter of figuring
out where to set up the back speakers.
