Thanks for the e-mail. I have 5 yrs to go before I have to take my IRA which is with a brokerage firm. Am I to assume that I should have an IRA adoption agreement (which I haven't) from my IRA provider?

I guess this means I should ask for one and check to see whom I have named as beneficiaries. Especially since the brokerage has been taken over by another.

Thanks pixy for the great article, keep them coming, there is so much out there that it is impossible for an individual to research it all. It certainly helps to have a site like the Motley Fool!
