Reading a bit between the lines, I sense price in about 99% of your driver in vendor selection. But in the event vendor rating matters, check out the December 2012 Consumer Reports. BB gets poor ratings. If you are opposed to buying Apple products from Apple, there are other options.

Personally, I think Applecare is a great deal - you get these items with it you will not have with a BB warranty. #1 3 years (vs 90 days) of phone support - and that in itself is almost worth the price. #2 If you have a hardware issue, you can swap at an Apple store after talking to Applecare. #3 Should you need a repair, you can get both parts and the repair from an authorized repair center. This last point is increasingly important as the opening of Apple PCs becomes more complex.
