Hi Everyone,Recently I commented about BeOS on the Wireless Board (I told you I could not stop people :)) And to that post Keith (TMFCzar) posted a link where you can download "In the Beginning was the Command Line" from Neil Stephenson. You can find his post and an extract here:http://boards.fool.com/Message.asp?mid=13926907The link to the downloadable Text is here:http://www.cryptonomicon.com/beginning.htmlAs Keith said, this is a long document to read on "your screen". Now I took the "your screen" as a PC screen and excluded my visor :) As some of you know, you can transfer text files to your palm, but you need to convert them before.AHA! There comes the idea. I needed to get that file on my Palm. I read one book by Stephenson already and he is a very interesting author, especially if you are the least bit geeky. So here comes the explenation how you get the file (which will be 120k) on your palm.First of all you need to be able to read it. I suggest the shareware TealDoc.http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=63634020001217143317&prodID=959That is a start. Download next and make it ready for installation. Then you need to download the text file and make a pdb file from it. You can use TealAgent to do that:http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=63634020001217143317&prodID=11135Just unzip that and start the application. Then click Add and use the Universal Page Clipper. Write the path (D:\blah\command\command.txt or something) in the right field on the right and name the file. Choose the name of your Palm Username on the left. Choose where it should be stored. You will also need to go from the First page till the Fifth Something. I do not totally understand that one yet, but doing that will work :)Run All and go to the file and double click it to install it.You will have the entire file on your palm for reading whereever you want to at any time.Have a good reading and have fun with your palm.Oliver
