In 2009 I had enough income/deductions that I had to pay $4K AMT.
I was laid of in Sept 09, and got a severance check.
Ihave been unemployed ever since, so my 2010 income is very small. I owe no tax in 2010, except a little bit of FICA because life insurance "benefit."

Turbotax asked me if I wanted to recalc 2009 AMT?

I know this is last minute ... but can someone give me the gist of why this might be helpful?

rgds, Bill
