Remember, some people develop a math allergy when the topic of finances comes up.

I'd suggest trying keep it fun and pertty colourful, maybe, take a big colourful ad and walk the class through how much that big screen TV (or SUV or whatever) would cost if you financed using store credit or Visa etc...

Depending on the time you have you could also show them the value of not buying big and investing the same amount of money.
