Rep. Paul Broun, who serves on the House Science Committee, told a church-sponsored banquet in his home state of Georgia that the theories of evolution and the big bang are “lies straight from the pit of hell.”

It would probably surprise Rep. Broun to know that the Big Bang theory was first proposed by a priest.

Of course, that would involve his actually learning something relevant to what he's running his mouth about, which would probably, in turn, result in his expulsion by the Georgia Know-Nothings.

The fact that this utter azzclown serves on the House Science Committee is a clear sign of a deep, deep problem with this country.
