In today's column, Pixy notes that fools retiring before normal retirement age and continuing to work can end up working for very little. Seems to me that most folks would be better off delaying retirement for a couple of years. That gives them two more years putting money into the good ol' 401-k, more to save (since they'll be earning more than they'll retire on) and a higher benefit. So why bother with the work after retirement bit at all, unless you know you won't need to earn more than $10,680?
