First I figure I should give a tad info on what I own.Non-retirement account holdings include: KO DEG GE HPQ INTC MAT OMI PEP RF and RAD. Most of these have DRPs, and have divvies automatically invested. This represents about 1/3 of my investments.Retirement accounts:401K holdings include 3 funds, a Large Growth Equity, a Large Value Equity and an S&P.Roth includes T Rowe Price Emerging Markets and New Horizons.Started another ROTH account strictly for stocks, and am hopefully going to find some value dividend stocks. List could be long, but my first pick was PFE, since that is in a sector I am (was not) in. Took me almost 6 months to pull the trigger, but think after research and reading felt comfortable this was a decent pick. Now my questions, what sectors, I know REITs such as NLY have high yields, I lack communication and utilities. Any suggestions on or if there would be sectors to add in any specific order, or something I am missing from my non-retirement accounts? Also, at this stage, figure 15 - 20 years from retirement, would one reinvest dividends, or take as cash, add to cash balance and buy positions when cash balance would be sufficient to keep transaction costs at lower costs?Or, should I have just added diversity by adding other sector funds? This might be a totally stupid post, if so I apologize, just never though about stocks in a ROTH, always did mutual funds.
