I am 30 years old and a result of some hard work and a lot of good luck have a little over a million dollars.
I would like to "retire" on this so that I don't need to work for money and can pursue my interests.

I'd like to obtain a pre-tax annual income of ~$50K (adjusted for inflation over time) and use the rest for capital appreciation.

Any ideas on how to invest and allocate this money to achieve this?
